gom-player

GOM Player includes many codecs (XviD, DivX, FLV1, AC3, OGG, MP4, H263 and more) so you won’t need to install separate codecs for most videos. For those videos that require a separate codec, GOM Player will find one and direct you to a place where you can download an open source version of the codec. That way, you won’t get stuck with unnecessary codecs on your system. GOM Player supports SMI, SRT, RT, SUB(with IDX) files for subtitle. You can specify margin, location, size, resolution, font and others. You can also enable shadow, view ASF files with subtitle, karaoke subtitle mode. You can even synchronize subtitle and video if there’s any mismatch. If you run a video file and there is already a file with a similar name in the directory, it will be automatically added to your playlist. GOM Player has a similar playlist format as M3U, PLS, ASX and you can also include and edit different media formats on that playlist as well. It’s easy to create and edit your own multimedia playlist with GOM Player. There are an endless number of advanced features. Customize brightness, contrast and saturation. Sharpen and add noise to your video. Try the audio equalizer. Repeat a section of your video with our A-B Repeat feature. Fast forward/rewind a few seconds using left/right keys. And much more for you to discover!

iPodME version 2.2

ipodme_screenshot

iPod Media Encoder converts video into an iPod-compatible format, the easy way. It is an alternative to the already existing converters like Videora, Xvid4PSP etc. The profiles should be easy enough to figure, keeping in mind that slower encoding also means better video quality. The new video files are created by default in the same folder as iPodME. With iPodME you can add soft (text) subtitles into video files converted in MP4 video format and then play the encoded video files on your iPod touch or iPhone. The subtitles need to be with the same name as the video file and in .SRT format and the software will do the rest. If you are using cyrillic subtitles (Russian for instance) you need to save the text subtitles’ file with UTF-8 encoding, otherwise you might not see the cyrillic letters…

Features:
– small (4 Mb), no setup, only 1 exe to put where you want, no codecs needed
– based on the ffmpeg project and mp4box
– really easy to use and straightforward
– easy batch encoding, just select multiple files by clicking on the “add files” button or drag and drop them into the list
– you can add new files to the batch during encoding
– run in background without disturbing your work (with the default priority option)
– 6 profiles adapted to most usage: 3 encoding speed, each optimized for file size or video quality
– possibility to customize the encoding options
– support soft-subtitles, and multiple subtitles per video
– support multiple CPU cores automatically
– can shutdown your computer after encoding
