FurMark v1.6.5 – OpenGL Benchmark

leave a comment »

furmark-opengl-test

FurMark is a very intensive OpenGL benchmark that uses fur rendering algorithms to measure the performance of the graphics card. Fur rendering is especially adapted to overheat the GPU and that’s why FurMark is also a perfect stability and stress test tool (also called GPU burner) for the graphics card. The benchmark offers several options allowing the user to tweak the rendering: fullscreen / windowed mode, MSAA selection, window size, duration. This benchmark requires an OpenGL 2.0 compliant graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 5/6/7/8 (and higher), AMD/ATI Radeon 9600 (and higher) or a S3 Graphics Chrome 400 series with the latest graphics drivers.

The startup interface allows you to tweak the benchmark features such as:
– Benchmark mode or stability test mode (for overclockers)
– GPU temperature monitoring and recording in a file
– Fullscreen or windowed for each type of run mode
– Window size selection (standard or custom)
– MSAA samples selection
– Benchmarking parameters: time based or frames based
– Contest Mode

atitool-0-26

ATITool is an overclocking utility designed for ATI and NVIDIA video cards. This utility started as a means to overclock and stability test your overclocked ATI-based video card without having to rely on some hard to do and insecure methods to do so. ATITool offers a quick and easy way to increase the working frequencies of your VGA card and test if the new settings will work under heavy 3D load without giving artifacts. At a later time support or Nvidia-based video cards was also added so now you can also overclock them with the help of ATITool.

ATITool Features
– No limits overclocking.
– Support for overclocking for ATI and NVIDIA cards.
– Adjustment of GPU and memory voltage (when supported by VGA card).
– Tweaking of memory timings (most ATI cards).
– Finding maximum core and memory overclock by rendering into a Direct3D window and scanning the output for visual artifacts.
– Temperature monitoring and fan speed control (on supported cards).
– Removal of Catalyst overclocking lock for 9000/9200/9550/9600 series.
– Artifact scanning mode to test for stability.
– Loading a predefined clock profile on Application/Windows startup.
– Hotkeys that can be used any time to load clocks from a profile.
– Extract video card BIOS to file for backup purposes.
– 3D application detection (Direct3D 8, Direct3D 9, OpenGL) to overclock your video card only when required.
– Gamma control

cpuid-hardware-monitor

CPUID’s HWMonitor is a free hardware monitoring program that reads PC systems main health sensors: voltages, temperatures, fans speed. The program handles the most common sensor chips, like ITE IT87 series, most Winbond ICs, and others. In addition, it can read modern CPUs on-die core thermal sensors, as well has hard drives temperature via S.M.A.R.T, and video card GPU temperature. Special hardware monitors such as abit uGuru and Gigabyte ODIN power supplies series are supported too. HWMonitor does not need to be installed. Just unzip the files in a directory and run the .exe. In order to remove the program, just delete the files. The program does not copy any file in any directory, neither writes in the registry. The program is great for use by anyone into computers – novice or an enthusiast to help monitor the system status. It is especaily helpful when overclocking or testing the computer for stability issues…
