CrystalDiskInfo is a HDD/SSD health monitoring utility, it displays basic HDD information, monitors S.M.A.R.T. values and disk temperature. With this free program you can see important information about your hard drives such as serial number, firmware version, interface type, supported features and even more. You can check also the power on times of the drive and most importantly the number of operating hours of the drive so far. Not to mention that all the S.M.A.R.T. information is available, so that you can check a lot of additional parameters of the operation of your disk drives. There are also Advanced Acoustic Management (AAM) and Advanced Power Management (APM) modes that allow you to make the drive for instance more silent with a bit of a performance hit or improve the performance even at the cost of a little more noise. Another quite useful feature is the resident temperature alarm that will alert you whenever any of your drives becomes hotter than it should, meaning that there might be trouble…
