MioMore Desktop 2 Software for MIO GPS Devices
If you own a MIO Technology GPS navigation device, especially one of the newer models with Spirit navigational software you might have bumped into a serious problem. You only get the system software called Mio More Desktop 2 that you use to manage your GPS navigation device from your PC only on the disk you get with the device. But if you loose this this or forget it while on a journey you’ll see that you cannot download this software directly from the support website of MIO, which is really strange and actually a problem for quite a few people. Does this Work with the Knight Rider GPS? The old MIO Software screwed up my GPS. Now when I go the Mio Website I don’t see Anything about the Knight Rider GPS, instead they have a renamed version K300 .

ey, can you zip (installer or the install folder) and upload a newer version (like 1.0.0 or above) of the MioMoore Desktop 2, its complicated to explain but I really need it.

After installation, when I wanted to run the program, I got a message: “MioMoreDesktop2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.” And I have an option to report this problem to Microsoft. I run it under WinXP. I also tried to run the program under Win7 and I got a message: MioMoreDesktop2 has stopped working.
I did all the combinations under Win7 – compatibility with:
WinXP SP2 as administrator and as non-admin
WinXP SP3 as administrator and as non-admin
Win7 as administrator and as non-admin
none of these worked.

I baught a spirit 480 sat nav recently and I would like to advice everyone never buy this. It is not userfriendly and complicated. Gives different messages and confuses. suddenly shuts down. Currys has not technical support for this, they will not even take it back saying software problem is not covered. Please beware everyone!

i had problem trying to get miomore desktop7.50 to work on my windows 7 64bit until I right clicked shortcut which brought up properties wich I clicked I then went to compatibility then I went to press tick on run this program in compatability mode for windows 7 in which you press the little arrow on the right hand side which then scrolls you down and you will see widows7 in which you press.press apply when you have done that and bingo it will now work

It sounded crazy in my mind, but this does work.
Don’t put it on XP compatibility mode, just really use “Windows 7” compatibility, the last option in the drop down menu. Now it magically works on my Windows 7 64 machine.
